Dietitian vs. Nutritionist
The title Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) has a legal definition and is reserved for nutrition professionals who minimally meet all of these criteria: hold a Bachelor's degree :: complete a 1200 hour post-graduate internship :: pass a National Registration Examination :: maintain at least 15 hours of continuing education each year. There is no standard definition for the title "Nutritionist" and it is unregulated. Therefore, anyone can call themselves a Nutritionist even without formal education or training.
I’m 20 weeks pregnant with a little girl and want to thank you for all your help to allow me to get to the place I am today. There are lots of good things in store and I’m very fortunate to be able to enjoy it all, it was your help that got me here!
I have a lot more energy than ever before, so even when my body is tired, I have much more STAMINA and ENDURANCE (two words I distinctly recall you using when we first talked). I am free from the bondage of my eating disorder and I am so grateful for that. I am living the life I have always imagined. Thank you for helping make that happen.
Thanks again for all your help (especially because I didn’t believe what you said would work). I think you have given me the biggest education of my entire life. Everything I thought about food, weight and diabetes were actually backwards. I know it is going to be a long recovery for me, but I want you to know that you were very instrumental in helping me save my life. Thank you so much!
I’m not sure how to express how much I value the support, guidance and useful information you’ve provided for me but I just wanted you to know that it has literally saved my life. My perceptions and beliefs about food have completely evolved and most of that is thanks to you. Thanks for emphasizing what’s truly important when it comes to health and nourishment, and not allowing me to dwell on the petty issues. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you.
I just wanted to sincerely thank you for everything. I learned so much from you. I will have your voice in my head every time I need reassurance & support. Thank you for telling me that eating certain foods won’t make me fat. I am getting a little better at starting to actually believe you!
Thank you so much for your support and dedication. It has helped me so much to be able to talk with you about my eating habits and my general thoughts. Thank you for not making judgments and never giving up.
I truly owe my life to you as without you I would not be where I am today. Your patience and understanding have given me the courage to break free from my eating disorder. I finally feel alive and in tune with my body. Thanks for always being there for me no matter how outrageous my thoughts may be.
I just have to tell you that our daughter absolutely loves you. This is been one of the most difficult times of her life but she has really relied on you. There are so many different things that she was uncomfortable with during the process but you were never one of them. Thank you for helping us get our daughter back.
I want you to know that you saved my daughter’s life and I will be forever grateful.
